Dr. Brad Christiansen, D.D.S.

Dr. Christiansen graduated in 1992 from the University of Western Ontario as a general practitioner and furthered his training with a General Practice Residency at the Hamilton General Hospital. Upon completing his residency, he joined the team at Mountain Dental Arts as an associate and later assumed ownership upon Dr. McQuiston's retirement.

Known for his emphasis on the patient experience and expertise in painless needles, Dr. Christiansen has a particular focus on crowns, bridges, and dentures. In 2023, he was awarded the Platinum Reader’s Choice Award for dentists by The Hamilton Spectator.

With over 30 years at Mountain Dental Arts, Dr. Christiansen balances his professional life with personal interests. Outside of work, he dedicates time to his passion for boats and enjoys quality moments with his wife, Silvana, two daughters, and their dog, Maggie.

Dr. Irrtisam Murtaza, D.D.S.

Dr. Murtaza’s journey began in beautiful British Columbia before he ventured eastward for his academic pursuits. At McGill University, he earned a Bachelors of Science in Physiology, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Western University. His dedication and excellence were recognized with the Dr. Igor Bolta Memorial Award in Restorative Dentistry and the Dr. Walter R. Teteruck Award in Fixed Prosthodontics from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. 

Joining the esteemed team at Mountain Dental Arts upon graduation, Dr. Murtaza has been an integral part of the practice for seven years, working alongside Dr. Christiansen. In 2022, Dr. Murtaza was awarded the Platinum Reader’s Choice Award for dentists by The Hamilton Spectator. Driven by a patient-centric approach, his treatment philosophy revolves around delivering comprehensive and personalized care that seamlessly integrates into the lives and budgets of his patients.

Dr. Murtaza is a general dentist who has honed his expertise in Invisalign, root canals and extractions. He holds memberships with the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and the Hamilton Academy of Dentistry. 

Beyond the dental world, Dr. Murtaza values quality time with family and friends, engaging in travel, attending sporting events, and pursuing activities like biking and hiking. As a devoted father of two, he happily imparts his passion for sports, teaching his children basketball and snowboarding.

Dr. Sumayyah China, D.D.S.

Dr. China, a proud native of Scarborough, Ontario, entered the field of dentistry after earning an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology from McMaster University. Her educational journey led her to the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2017. 

Since graduating, Dr. China has served as a dedicated general dentist in both Burlington and Stoney Creek. Specializing in pediatrics and cosmetic dentistry, she offers a comprehensive range of services to meet her patients’ diverse dental needs. Committed to staying at the forefront of dental advancements, Dr. China prioritizes continuing education to provide the latest and most scientifically-proven treatments. 

Dr. China's commitment extends beyond clinical expertise; she is dedicated to fostering lasting connections with her patients, striving to create a warm and friendly atmosphere. Her goal is to ensure each patient feels comfortable and well-cared for, emphasizing her dedication to delivering exceptional dental care and building enduring relationships within the community. A proud member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Dr. China is actively engaged in professional networks.

Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. China embraces a fulfilling life as a busy mother of two. She finds joy in being outdoors, staying active, and exploring the world through family travel adventures.

Dr. Raj Kandola, D.D.S.

Dr. Raj is a graduate of McGill University (BSc) and the University of Toronto (Doctor of Dental Surgery) and holds the title of Associate Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. With over 20 years of experience as a general dentist, Dr. Raj focuses on his passion for dental surgery with sedation. Dedicating himself to surgical extractions and dental implant placement with sedation, Dr. Raj, along with his team of nurses and assistants, travels the province. His commitment to excellence is evident through countless hours of continuing education, and he holds a certification in intravenous sedation from the University of Toronto. Dr. Raj is recognized for his calm demeanor and patient-focused approach to treatment.

Meet our Denturist

Alex Stoller, Denturist

Alex has been a denturist for more than 25 years. A Hamilton native, he started his career as a denture technician in his hometown. This positive experience inspired him to enroll in the denturism field in 1988. He received his diploma in denturism from George Brown College in 1991. Alex opened his first office in Burlington and has formed relationships with many dentists over the years. For clients who are in retirement homes and face mobility challenges, Alex still does old-fashioned house calls. Contact us directly to inquire about this service.
